Bangladesh Chittagong city, Bayezid Bostami police station has arrested a young man with a weapon who openly fired blank shots while dominating Hillview residential area. His name is Mohammad Zahid. He was arrested from the area adjacent to Bayezid Bostami police station around 11:30 pm on Saturday.
Bayezid Bostami Police Station Officer-in-Charge OC Sanjay Kumar Sinha has confirmed the matter. He said that Zahid was arrested on the basis of secret information. The weapon used in the incident was recovered from him. In the initial interrogation, Zahid said that another accused arrested in this case had taken Mithun from Shaon. Zahid took the weapon from him. He will be remanded and questioned in detail.
On January 12, local terrorists held a weapons exercise after gaining dominance in the Hillview area of Bayezid Bostami police station. At that time, while trying to stop them, a local man named Abdullah Al Mahmud was injured by a stone.
Apart from this, terrorists vandalized various shops in Hillview area. Later the video of this incident went viral. It can be seen that Zahid is chasing the authorities with weapons. Later, police raided and arrested 17 people on January 14. A toy pistol and 10 sharp weapons (kirich) were recovered from them.
